A virtuoso and surprising show that takes spectators on a journey into the secrets of the greatest classical ballets.
Since its inception, 3e étage has carved out a special niche in the world of dance, using the heritage of the oldest tradition in the world of ballet to create virtuoso and surprising shows that are accessible and comprehensible to today’s audiences.
The original “Secrets du Ballet” concept is a series in which each episode interweaves the most beautiful moments of the repertoire with explanations and dance illustrations which, by revealing their hidden nuances, reveal the works – and their performers – in a new light.
From Sleeping Beauty to Romeo & Juliet, from the quinconce to the gargouillade, from the pointe de la pointe to the toe of the sock, not forgetting Louis XIV and his royal entrechats… “Secrets du Ballet” offers connoisseurs and novices alike a rich and diverse vision, full of jumps and pirouettes, demands and humor… of the underside – and tops – of the world of dance.
In costumes and lighting of exceptional quality, this episode is, as always, performed by some of the Paris Opera Ballet’s most remarkable talents.
